Last December 09-10, 2021, a new set of South Philippine Union Conference administrators and directors has been elected to manage the whole vicinity of Southern Mindanao for the next four years. The 6th constituency meeting was held at Garden Church, SPUC, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, which was attended by the different administrators, directors, staff, and ordained pastors from the different missions and conferences in SPUC.
The said event was conducted as part of the quinquennium management of the administrators and directors focusing on the offices that they’ve directed. In a span of five years, emerging leaders that stood out in their field have been given a chance to showcase their ability to manage and manifest leadership for the continuation and maintenance of God’s errands. Through this occasion, the constituents have chosen new sets of administrators with Pastor Danielo Palomares, as the new President, Sir Chemuel Almocera has been elected as the new Treasurer, and Pastor Heshbon Buscato as the new Executive Director of SPUC. The newly elected SPUC Department Directors are Dr. Jimmy V. Adil, Jr.–AMR/AM Director, Pastor Carlito P. Quidet, Jr.–Communication Director/PARL, Pastor Jemsly D. Lantaya – Youth Director, Dr. Alevir P. Pido ¬– Education Director, Dr. Romy V. Lamputi – Assoc. Education Director, Dr. Reynald M. Dela Cruz – Health Director, Pastor Rene S. In Northeastern Mindanao Mission, Pastor Max Dante Obbus has been re-elected as the President of NEMM for the next quinquennium, same goes with Pastor Cirilo Baal that will serve as the treasurer and Pastor Rafael de Domingo has been elected as the new executive secretary.
God has chosen these people to dedicate their lives to the work that was entrusted to them. Doing God’s errands may seem to be easy by only looking at their field but when executed, it takes a lot of bravery, dedication, commitment, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to fulfill God’s works. But because of their faith and allegiance, they’ve accepted their responsibilities wholeheartedly. By the blessing of the Holy Spirit, these laborers will be filled with consecration in doing their duties. Godspeed, SPUC!
