The Ministerial Spouses Association (MSA), led by Coordinator Mrs. Nympha O. Obbus, held its Continuing Education Level 1 on January 27, 2023, at the NEMM Conference Room. The event was participated by pastors’ wives assigned to their new district assignments.
The program’s purpose was to refresh the memory and familiarize the pastors’ wives with their duties and obligations as partners to their husbands in ministry. The session covered critical topics like effective communication, organizational skills, and emotional support. Mrs. Marivic L. Saramosing, Family Life Ministries Director, and Mrs. Nympha O. Obbus, Women’s Ministries Director and Ministerial Spouses Association Coordinator, shared their expertise as resource speakers.
During the devotional time, Pr. Max Dante B. Obbus, the president of Northeastern Mindanao Mission, spoke about the types of pastors’ wives. He discussed the “Detached Pastor’s Wife,” the “Supportive Pastor’s Wife,” and the “Incorporated Pastor’s Wife.” This session aimed to provide a better understanding of the different ways in which pastors’ wives can fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
The program concluded with a commitment prayer led by Pr. Lonie Cena, NDR/IEL and Health Director of NEMM. The prayer aimed to help the participants rededicate themselves to their roles and responsibilities as ministers’ wives.
The MSA Continuing Education Level 1 program is a crucial component of the association’s mission to empower and support pastors’ wives in their ministry. By providing opportunities for education, training, and spiritual growth, the MSA is committed to helping these women become their best partners for their husbands.
