Northeastern Mindanao Mission recently hosted a successful Adventist Mission Seminar and Orientation for Church Leaders on March 26, 2023, at the headquarters’ Conference Hall in Butuan City, Philippines. The event was attended by 59 church leaders from Butuan Riverside District, led by Pastor Jemuel Dela Pena, along with two guest speakers, Pastor Jimmy Jiammah Adil, SPUC AMR Director, and Pastor Vincent Bargona, NCMC AMR Director.
The seminar aimed to equip and inspire participants to become more involved in mission work, especially in reaching the unreached people groups in their territory. The guest speakers shared their experiences and insights on cross-cultural ministry, urban evangelism, Global Mission projects, and volunteer service.
Pastor Adil and Pastor Bargona emphasized the importance of understanding the culture and worldview of the people they are trying to reach, showing Christ’s love in practical ways, and building relationships. The event ended with a question-and-answer session, where the church leaders could clarify their concerns and seek further guidance from the guest speakers.
The seminar and orientation concluded with a commitment to service. The attendees expressed their desire to serve and share the good news of salvation with those around them. The commitment service was a powerful moment of unity and dedication, as the church leaders pledged to work together to fulfill the church’s mission.
The attendees left the event inspired and equipped with the knowledge and tools to carry out the church’s mission in their communities.
